Poco M3 is a budget phone with 6GB of RAM and a 6,000mAh battery with fast charge support. It is a successor to its sibling Poco M2 and shares some identical specs and features. Under the hood, the smartphone has a Snapdragon 662 octa-core processor integrated with an Adreno 610 GPU and UFS2.1 storage. Poco M3 includes a 6.5-inch FHD display with a waterdrop notch and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for unlocking it. Let’s read more about the phone and see how it performs.

Poco M3 is fitted with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a Full-HD resolution of 1080x2340px. It comes in an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with more than 83% of a screen to body ratio. The display has a chin-notch with slim bezels around the sides. Poco gives a decent screen with reasonable features at the asking price. You may use it for watching movies and gaming at 60Hz.

Poco M3 flaunts a 48MP triple rear camera setup with a dedicated LED flash. The 48MP main camera lives with a pair of 2MP’s of a macro camera and a depth sensor with autofocus. It has various camera features like Ultra HD Mode, Night Mode, Macro, HDR, AI Scene Detection, Document Mode, AI Beautify, Portrait Mode, Panorama Mode, etc to better the camera experience. The main camera can be used to shoot decent images whereas its macro and depth camera can be used to get portraits and macro images. For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8MP front camera inside the notch.

Poco M3 runs on the Android 10 operating system with its custom MIUI launcher on top. It is driven by a Snapdragon 662 octa-core processor embedded on an 11nm chipset. For better gaming performance it is paired with the Adreno 610 GPU that renders the graphic needs and its 6GB of RAM handles the background tasks of the phone.  User-friendly sensors like Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, and Compass are present.

Poco M3 is backed by a big 6,000mAh Li-Po battery with an 18W charger out of the box. Also, the phone supports reverse charging that lets you use it as a power bank. Heavy users who look for big battery phones on a budget may prefer this Poco phone. However, a full day of battery life is expected on normal usage on the phone.

Poco M3 has inbuilt 64GB of UFS2.1 storage onboard. UFS2.1 offers faster read/copy performance over normal eMMC storage. Poco using UFS storage in their smartphones can set the bar higher for the upcoming budget smartphones.  The phone has an expandable storage slot that makes more space for movies, music, videos, photos, documents, etc.

Poco M3 has the usual sets of connectivity options like 3G, 4G, and VoLTE feature that enables HD voice calls and video calls on supported networks. It has WiFi, Bluetooth v5 that boosts pairing and signal strength, and USB v2.0 with a Type C port. For online navigation, the phone is supported by GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou constellations.
